Cornhole Tournament
Saturday, June 5, 2021 — 12:00 p.m.
The Danubia Hotspurs U-15 boys soccer team will be hosting a cornhole (“baggo”) tournament at the club on Saturday, June 5.
Cost is $80 per team ($40 per person).
Registration is at 11:30 a.m. and games begin at noon. Every team is guaranteed at least three games. Hot dogs and cheeseburgers are included.
Danubia Legacy
Anthony Cancelliere, coach of both the U9 & U11 Boys’ teams, played his entire youth soccer career at Danubia for Hans Kloehn, Sr. Even though together, they played in three state championship finals, they were never fortunate enough to win a title. Finally, on May 21, 2017, that changed. Not only did Danubia bring home one state Championship, we brought home two! These titles would not have been possible without the soccer knowledge and work ethic Hans passed on to us while growing up. We could not be prouder to represent the Club and continue Hans’ legacy. He is Danubia!
PA State Cup Champions
Congratulations to the Danubia Gunners (U9 Boys) and the Danubia Hotspur (U11 Boys) on their 2017 PA State Cup Championship Wins!
The Gunners wrapped up their PA State Cup run with a 3-2 win over Penn Fusion Predators.
The Hotspur were competitive to the end, edging out West-mont United in a 4-3 overtime win.
Congratulations to the players, coaches and families!!
Youth Soccer Banquet
The Danubia Youth Soccer program has had a recent resurgence and we were able to celebrate our players in our first (annual) youth soccer banquet on February 25, 2017. Parents, players and coaches had a great time honoring the hard work and successes of each of the teams: U8 Boys Griffins, U9 Boys Gunners, U10 Boys Cosmos, U11 Boys Hotspur, U12 Boys Celtic, U13 Boys Eagles, U13 Girls Dynamo.
